The Gallup Fire Department has received a report that a person is falsely identifying themselves as a member of a Fire Department and is requesting access to businesses.

The Gallup Fire Department is a community oriented and driven department here to serve the needs of the City of Gallup and visitors alike. If you receive a call from the Gallup Fire Department or a member of the Gallup Fire Department arrives at your business you have the right to ask that person to show you their City of Gallup ID. You may also call the Gallup Fire Department at 505-722-4195 to verify the person works for the Gallup Fire Department as well. A number of programs are completed and performed by Firefighters and Fire Inspectors throughout the City to include:

  • Fire Prevention Education
  • Fire Inspections
  • Pre-Incident Surveys
  • CPR Trainings
  • Workplace Safety and fire extinguisher training
  • Emergency Medical Calls

Several of these programs or functions require Firefighters or Fire Inspectors to visit your businesses or homes. At times the fire department may call or arrive at your business to schedule or perform one of these functions. We are here to serve and work with you.

If you have any questions please call the Gallup Fire Department at 505-722-4195 or the Fire Prevention Office at 505-726-5448.
