A chemical leak in a rail car's valve or fitting connection can be hazardous, not only to rail personnel, but to the environment and our citizens. To prepare for such a situation your Gallup Firefighters conducted hands-on training today using a variety of tools they carry to mitigate an incident of this type. The training was conducted on a rail car dome prop at Station #1 and was facilitated by Shift Lieutenant Andres Campos. The training was a good refresher for all participants that helps to maintain skills and build team unity.
