The Gallup Fire Department provided fire extinguisher training
to over 400 employees and visitors as part of the RMCHCS Competency Fair held on June 6th
– 7th at the RMCHCS Hospital. The Fire Safety House was used in the
delivery of a Kitchen and Office fire safety presentation and fire extinguisher
training. The Fire Safety House is equipment with an interactive microwave,
stovetop, and trash can props which release theatrical smoke and light effects.
A demonstration extinguisher is used in the extinguishment of the interactive
props to give the participants the opportunity to practice what they learned
about fire extinguishers. The Fire
Safety House is but one tool used in the delivery of Fire Safety Training
utilized by the Gallup Fire Department to uphold its commitment to provide
awareness and fire safety training to the citizens of Gallup and our visitors. To
