Gallup Fire Department’s very own Sparky along with FF Bowers, FF Duenas, and Recruit FF Dominic had a great time at the Millennium Media Kids Day Easter Event at the Ford Canyon Park on April 15. This event gave the Firefighters an opportunity to talk with the Parents and Children of the Gallup area. Participants of the event were able to explore the Fire Department’s Safety house with an exciting presentation on kitchen safety. The Departments interactive Safety House provides adults and children the opportunity to learn about preventing fires on the stove and microwave while giving the adults the opportunity to test their skills at extinguishing kitchen fires using our virtual fire extinguisher.
