The Best of the Best Timed Event Rodeo is a competition for high school rodeo athletes competing in the events of tie down roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping, pole bending, goat tying, steer wrestling and team roping. It is NOW open to 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in the 2018-2019 school year (incentive payout for Junior High 6th-8th grade).
Best of the Best 2019 will be held June 26th-29th, 2019 in Gallup, New Mexico at Red Rock Park Arena.
Event payouts are of course based upon actual participation. There is NOW $24,000 in added money guaranteed for the rodeo. 80% of entry fees will be paid out. Payouts are expected for 1st round, 2nd round, short go, and for average winners. In addition, average winners will receive a saddle; reserve average winners will receive a buckle all go round winners will receive Classic Equine protective boots.
Contestant parent event average winning teams will receive "Hot Heels" roping machines.
* Mail-in entries must be postmarked by June 17th, 2019.
* Online entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM on June 19th, 2019.
What documentation is required for registration?
In order to register for Best of the Best 2019, a contestant must have been enrolled in the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade of the 2018-2019 school year.

You will also need a current Coggin’s for each animal upon arrival at the rodeo grounds.

Junior High Incentives are open to any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader in each event. Half of their entry fee will go to the main pot and Half to the incentive pot.
Junior High kids are eligible to win the main pot and incentive pot both.
High School kids are not eligible for incentive pot.
Number of monies paid will be determined by the # of entries per event.
RV and Stall check in will begin on Monday June 24th, 2019.
Contestant Check in will begin on Monday June 24th @ 8 am. There is A MANDATORY MEETING this year on Wednesday, June 26th @ 2:00 P.M. in the Red Rock Convention Center.
DRAW WILL BE POSTED ON THE WEBSITE AND FACEBOOK ON JUNE 24th, 2019. Draw outs will be handled with a vet or doctor's release ONLY! NO EXCEPTIONS!
Failure to obtain all required inspections will result in the permit becoming null and void.

To terminate services with the city, please complete a Discontinue Services Form and return it to Customer Care. You can return it in person, by fax, U.S. Mail, or email. Also, you can email Customer Care to request termination; we may ask you for personal identifying information in order to verify the request.

Formal sealed bids or proposals are to be submitted by mail or in person to the Purchasing Department prior to opening date and time.
