City of Gallup Launches “Gallup Connect” For Citizens to Report Non-Emergency Issues

Mayor Jackie McKinney joins City of Gallup staff to announce the launch of “Gallup Connect”, a new way for citizens to report quality of life concerns--including potholes and streetlight outages--quickly and easily from smartphone apps as well as from the City of Gallup website.These concerns are submitted directly to the City where they are then routed and assigned to the appropriate City department based on the location and type of problem.

The platform is powered by SeeClickFix — the world’s largest provider of mobile request management applications. SeeClickFix has helped hundreds of cities and counties throughout the country to improve the quality and efficiency of service by deploying citizen reporting apps that route problems directly to back-office issue management tools.

“This app is a great example of how a responsive city can utilize technology to simplify processes and empower its residents,” said Mayor McKinney. “With a few clicks on your smart phone, anyone can now photograph, map and report the types of code violations that degrade our neighborhoods. By making the process accessible and easy, we can work together to enhance our neighborhoods, raise our community standards and improve the overall quality of life for our residents.”
